Metal allergy is one of the least known, hidden, but existing allergic diseases of our time.
How can metal allergy be recognised?
If you have ever experienced an itchy sensation whilst wearing metal jewellery or other items, and your skin has become flaky or even developed sores in places, then you most likely have a metal allergy.
We know this feeling; we have already carried out completely metal-free treatments on dozens of our patients, with excellent results and no allergic reactions. Just like any other treatment, the orthodontics This can also be achieved using metal-free orthodontic appliances.
Our practice offers various solutions for patients who have a proven allergy to a metal used in dentistry.
What other allergies can we encounter?
Commonly known allergy types also include pollen and dust allergies. Metal allergy is heard much less often, yet many people suffer from it.
Some people are aware of the symptoms but haven't identified them as a metal allergy, so while they have an allergy, they are unaware of it. We recommend having an allergy test once a year.
Regular check-ups are also recommended because, unfortunately, we can be exposed to very strong toxic, allergenic effects on a daily basis. It's better to recognise and know how to deal with a problem than not to know and suffer the consequences of ignorance afterwards. A dermatologist can easily and simply perform metal allergy testing.
