I'm afraid of the dentist

Afraid of the dentist?

The fear of the dentist can be traced back to a very ancient instinct, as our oral cavity is very close to our brain, and we try to protect this area at all costs. Furthermore, the mouth is an extremely intimate sphere, and we are reluctant to allow anyone a glimpse into it. So your fear is completely natural, and we dentists and dental hygienists can completely understand that.

Furthermore, dental care decades ago was less about patient comfort and more about effective complaint management: painful anaesthesia, or treatments without it, and rapid care were characteristic.

It's natural for dentistry to be associated with an unpleasant experience.

Experiences such as the ones mentioned above motivate us to try and postpone treatments. We tend to pay as little attention as possible to our teeth, apart from minimal oral hygiene. However, our oral cavity also requires care, so toothache inevitably becomes a topic sooner or later.

What can be done about a deep-rooted fear of the dentist?

  • First, let's change our mindset: your teeth are precious! As an adult, you only have one, so try to avoid extractions!
  • Once you've had your tooth extracted, you'll appreciate your other teeth - try to protect them, their health and replace the missing tooth!
  • Dental technologies are rapidly evolving: now you don't even need to fear anaesthetics, because they are not painful!
  • Are there treatments that can be performed without anaesthesia, painlessly. Thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment, including laser devices, we can even replace scalpels and drills. Tooth drilling and certain oral surgery procedures we can do it using a laser.
  • Choose your dentist carefully: empathy is essential in today's world, and committed professional knowledge is paramount. Check other patients' opinions about the dentist or practice.

Hear us out, many feel the same as you: in the right hands, however anxiety dissolves and can focus on your dental health, free from worry.

At the NaturaDent clinic all, from reception staff to dentists and dental hygienists, all of us we work to ensure that you arrive at the office without fear, feel confident in your dental chair and leave with healthy teeth and a smile.
