Milyen fogászati lézerkészülékek segítenek a gyógyulásban?

In our practice, we use the Biolase Waterlase iPlus, which represents the pinnacle of modern dental laser equipment. Furthermore, we have extensive experience with the Biolase iLase and ezLase devices. These are also laser dental instruments that harness the therapeutic effects of lasers, a benefit in dentistry that has been little known until now.

What is the difference between the three Biolase laser devices?

A Biolase Waterlase iPlus, or otherwise known as the „Little Ferrari,” is the biggest sibling. This is the device that works with the combined power of water and a laser beam, with the water providing cooling. It is currently the most advanced laser dental and laser surgical equipment in the world, and is currently only available with us in Hungary, Central Europe. Oral surgery and General laser treatments also suitable for completion.

The Biolase ezLase is the middle child. This device is not suitable for drilling teeth, nor any hard tissue surgery, only soft tissue, gum plastic surgery treatments. Anaesthetic is not necessarily required for treatments; for soft tissue surgeries, water cooling must be provided externally. This device is excellently suited For Biolase laser teeth whitening, and also for laser biostimulation.

The smallest sibling in the series is the Biolase iLase, its shape similar to a Jedi sword from films. It is as small and thin as a pen, but possesses nearly the same power as the Biolase ezLase. The fundamental difference between the two primarily lies in their treatment capabilities, much like the distinction between the two larger siblings, the ezLase and the Waterlase iPlus.

What are these differences?

A Biolase Waterlase iPlus operates with laser light and water. Therefore, we can use it for painless laser removal of tooth decay, for preparation, for major oral surgery.

Laser treatments they do not extend to removing previously placed fillings from the tooth, and in certain cases, anaesthetic injections are required during laser treatments. The various benefits of laser dental treatments manifest to different degrees during the treatments themselves. Our aim is to ensure that our patients' treatments can be carried out as calmly and painlessly as possible.

The ezLase from Biolase is designed to reduce sensitivity, biostimulate, and reduce pain., laser teeth whiteningLaser curettageLaser root canal disinfection, laser sensitivity reduction, healing of herpes and aphthae, and soft tissue oral surgery procedures (e.g. Frenulum linguae et labii superioris severed).

Biolase Waterlase iPlus – Professional Aid in Aesthetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery

The Biolase Waterlase iPlus reduces our patients' fears, pain, and trauma, This makes dental visits much more comfortable and relaxed.

The application possibilities of the Biolase Waterlase iPlus are virtually endless. We can use it for:

  • In preservative treatments, during the laser removal of tooth decay
  • For cosmetic and aesthetic dental procedures
  • For painless oral surgery

The Biolase Waterlase iPlus dental laser unit operates using YSGG laser energy and water. It allows dentists to reduce the extent of interventions and perform more precise dental treatments.

For most treatments carried out with the Waterlase iPlus, anaesthetic is not needed in certain cases, which is a major source of patient nervousness.

Patients experience less bleeding, swelling, post-treatment discomfort and require less or no pain relief medication.

What are the benefits of Biolase Waterlase iPlus treatments?

Among its many advantages, one of the most important is that the use of a conventional drill, which can sound loud and frightening to a patient, can be avoided. However, these two aspects are not everything; a traditional drill causes friction, which heats up the tooth and can cause pain. While pain can be avoided with anaesthetic, damage caused by heat cannot. Another disadvantage of a traditional drill is that it can cause micro-cracks, through which bacteria can enter the tooth and cause further decay.

Why are treatments with the WaterLase iPlus painless?

The Biolase Waterlase iPlus uses the unique YSGG laser wavelength's powerful interaction with its patented water/air spray to cut and shape tissue without contact, heat, vibration, or pressure. This scientifically developed and proven procedure therefore exceptionally effective for treating gums, skin, and bones.

BioLase ezLase

The Biolase ezLase is the most powerful handheld dental laser device. The laser dental unit, weighing a total of 1 kilogram, has a peak power of 7 Watts.

While other dental lasers can cut tissue with emitted heat, the Biolase ezLase ensures a much more comfortable treatment. The Biolase ezLase can treat effectively with less power and heat emission.

The Biolase ezLase is an excellent laser dentistry instrument. It is perfectly suited for disinfecting root canals, oral surgery procedures, aesthetic treatments, gum contouring, gum reshaping, reducing tooth neck sensitivity, and treating mouth ulcers and cold sores.
Biolase can also be used with a biostimulating head for pain relief, teeth whitening, and acne treatment.

BioLase iLase

The Biolase iLase is a slim, pen-sized portable laser dental device that operates with a peak output power of 5 Watts.

Just like the Biolase ezLase, The Biolase iLase works gently, able to cut tissue with less heat and power, making dental treatment more comfortable for our patients.

Despite its size, the Biolase iLase has many functions and can perform a multitude of treatments. It is excellently suited for aesthetic treatments!

What are the main advantages of using laser dental instruments?

In many cases, the anaesthetic injection can be omitted, for example When treating tooth decay. This is especially important for in young children, as an adult who is afraid of injections, or At the mother's, where the baby's protection means as little external material as possible entering the mother's body.

When performing soft tissue oral surgery There is less bleeding, which results in faster healing. This is beneficial for everyone, as the healing time is reduced and the treated surface will be much better due to the laser's effect, leaving a much less noticeable trace of the treatment.

This property is particularly important for diabetics, whose wounds generally heal more slowly, but their healing will also be faster after laser treatments.

during laser tooth drilling We can forget the sound of the drill. Instead, only the quiet popping of popcorn can be heard.

Furthermore, laser treatment allows for maximum disinfection during root canal treatments and periodontal disease elimination treatments, by which the tooth can be reliably saved, the inflamed area regenerates quickly, and the inflammation subsides.

We are delighted to be able to use Biolase's equipment and our leading dentist, Dr. Márta Fülöp Papp She is now an internationally recognised laser specialist and continuously assists our dentists in their work during laser dental treatments.
