At NaturaDent Dental Practice, a dental examination, oral check-up, and consultation include a digital panoramic X-ray, which is painless and only takes a few seconds.
A panoramic radiograph involves minimal radiation exposure and can be used safely even in young children.
Miben segít a digitális panoráma röntgen Önnek és a fogorvosnak?
Digital panoramic X-rays show us changes, foci of infection, inflammation, larger cavities, and unerupted teeth in the mouth that are not visible to the eye, are hidden, or are located at the root of the tooth.
The dentist is of great help in putting together the treatment plan and making an accurate diagnosis for the patient. It is also interesting for our patients to see their teeth and the position of their roots. Based on our experience, with the help of a panoramic X-ray, they understand the necessary treatments much more easily, which can affect teeth that appear healthy to the naked eye.
When taking a panoramic X-ray, what do we do for your safety?
Protecting our patients and colleagues is of utmost importance to us.
This is why we selected an X-ray machine with the lowest possible radiation dose. Before the procedure, lead-lined walls ensure the protection of patients in the waiting room and our pregnant colleagues.
During the taking of a panoramic X-ray, the patient's body is protected from X-rays with a lead apron, thus doubling the safety.
Can I wear jewellery, a watch, or a necklace when having a panoramic X-ray taken?
When taking a panoramic X-ray, we ask our patient to remove the following for a few seconds:
Necklace
earring
piercing (if possible)
hajgumi, if it contains metal
metal hair clip, headband
Who takes the X-ray?
This is carried out before the assessment and in all cases it will be conducted by a colleague who has successfully passed an extended-level radiation protection course. Therefore, should you have any questions during the X-ray procedure, please feel free to approach them!
Do we take a digital panoramic X-ray during pregnancy?
No, as the safe development of the foetus is the most important consideration at this time. For this reason, please inform us if you are pregnant.
However, certain dental treatments, such as dental hygiene treatments, aesthetic fillings, and root canal treatments using different instruments, can be safely performed during pregnancy.
