The oral check-up is performed following a digital panoramic X-ray. When why and who should choose dental anesthesia?

Many patients have a general fear of dentists and dental treatments. The majority of our patients reported that their anxiety was eased when they first visited our friendly clinic and were met by our caring, professional staff.  For these patients, our innovative, pain-free laser dental treatments are a perfectly suitable choice. Some of our patients have excessive fear of dental treatments because of a dental trauma they may have experienced as a child, panic disorders, nausea caused by severe gag reflex, or any other reason. At times, tooth extraction can be done under general anesthesia, as well. How to prepare for treatment under general anesthesia

Although we will carry out a comprehensive health assessment during your first appointment and thoroughly prepare you for successful anesthesia, we also provide some essential information below.

• First of all, stop eating 6 hours before the surgery and stop drinking 3 hours before the surgery. (Under anesthesia, your body's cough and swallowing reflexes are temporarily stopped. If your stomach has food or drink in it, there is a risk of vomiting it or bringing it up into your throat.)
• Inform your anesthesiologist (physician specializing in anesthetic care) about the medication you take. (Our anesthesiologist will advise you when and how to take your medication when you have an anesthetic treatment coming up.)
• Make sure a family member or friend accompanies you to your appointment to support you as you will likely experience grogginess after the procedure. (Important: Refrain from driving for the first 24 hours after the procedure.)

We work while you sleep – The process of anesthetic dental treatments

• The dentist anesthesiologist reviews the findings of the preliminary examination.
• Following a physical examination, the anesthesiologist answers any question you may have before the anesthetic treatment begins.
• Anesthesia is administered by a dentist anesthesiologist and a nurse anesthetist. Once you are comfortable, they place ECG electrodes on your chest and a sensor clip on your fingertip, allowing them to monitor your condition throughout the treatment.
