Pregnancy is a very important event in every woman's life. This period is also special from a dental perspective. It requires more attention, foresight, and painless, chemical-free, radiation-free supportive, healing treatments are necessary to address emerging problems.

This is good and valuable for both baby and mum. The majority of our clinic's team are women, and many of them are mothers themselves. Our team is happy to help you with any questions you may have regarding pregnancy or dental problems. You can find out first-hand what is worthwhile doing and using from a dental perspective at this time, and what isn't.

Dr. Fülöp Papp Márta is seeing patients for maternity dental care.

We have also put together our supportive package, specifically aimed at mothers-to-be and expectant mothers, with this in mind.

Which areas require more attention during pregnancy?
The gum
Inflammation, tenderness, and bleeding of the gums are already signs of an underlying problem, and treating it in time can prevent periodontitis, which has more serious consequences. During pregnancy, you need to pay more attention to gum inflammation, and act faster when it appears.

Inflammation can affect your body, which is also taken in by your baby's body, as you and your baby are still one body, one soul. If you do not address the pain in your gums, you will not be able to eat properly later due to tooth pain, and the nutrients necessary for your child's development will not enter your body properly, which can affect your child's entire life, development, and happiness.

Each morning, examine your dentures, gently massage your gums, and if you experience any sensitivity, abnormal redness, or bleeding during brushing, please consult with our dental hygienist colleagues. They can assist you, and it's possible that a simple, thorough, and painless professional dental scaling could quickly resolve your gum inflammation.

The gum
Due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, almost every pregnant mother will develop periodontal disease. If you have never experienced gum inflammation or sensitivity before pregnancy, it is highly likely that this will start as a simple gingivitis for you, which can be treated with regular dental hygiene assistance.

If there were already signs of periodontal disease before your pregnancy, this area needs particular attention because if it’s not addressed, your periodontal disease can worsen, literally affecting the deeper, harder-to-heal parts of the tooth root, which can cause loose, mobile teeth, severe sensitivity, and even tooth loss.

Fortunately, these cases can also be prevented and treated with regular periodontal check-ups, and the problem can be resolved painlessly with laser dentistry methods, Biolase laser treatments. Ask for our laser dentistry treatments to eliminate your periodontal disease, because this way you can regain your healthy, beautiful, inflammation-free gums and smile faster, more sterilely, and painlessly.

A fog, tooth decay
In pregnant mothers, intermittent weakening of tooth enamel can also cause problems, which in most cases manifests as an increased predisposition to tooth decay. The disease attacks the tooth more easily and quickly, decay develops faster and deeper, even with very thorough dental care.

As decay does not stop at one level and can only be treated up to a certain depth without removing the tooth root, and is very painful once it reaches the dentine, it is therefore advisable to regularly check the surface of your teeth and the spaces between them, and to remove any emerging decay in good time. As the spaces between your teeth are difficult for you to see, it is advisable to visit your dentist regularly, and to visit our practice where we will thoroughly examine all your teeth and, if necessary, remove decay using laser equipment, without injection or pain, no longer using the drill.

Kismama pácienseink 95%-a a lézeres fogszuvasodás eltávolítást választja, hiszen fájdalommentesen, injekció nélkül, zsibbadás nélkül, gyorsan, és a klasszikus fogfúró használata nélkül előzzük meg a további fogfájdalmakat.

Please ask our colleagues for information about our laser dental treatments. We are happy to answer your questions! Our laser treatments do not cover the removal of previously placed fillings, and in certain cases, it may be necessary to use anaesthetic injections during laser treatments.

The various benefits of laser dental treatments appear to different degrees during the treatments themselves. Our aim is to ensure that our patients' treatments can take place with the greatest possible peace and without pain.

Without harmful X-rays

ATTENTION!
During pregnancy, traditional X-ray imaging is prohibited due to its potential to harm the foetus! We kindly ask that you absolutely follow this advice! Do not allow strong X-ray radiation to cause any harm to your unborn child's body!

Our dentists only request conventional X-rays from our pregnant patients in justified and very urgent, unavoidable cases. In 99%of cases, we use a special handheld X-ray device that is different from conventional ones, with very, very low, minimal radiation.

Alongside low-energy, problem-tooth-focused special X-rays, we use lead aprons as extra protection, providing maximum safety for you and your child. The resulting quick, digital, immediate X-rays are evaluated straight away, allowing us to promptly begin the professional treatment of the affected areas and eliminate your toothache.

In our practice, you and your child are in safe, caring, and attentive hands. Throughout every treatment, we pay extra special attention to the health of both of your bodies, eliminating any potential health-harming effects.

We welcome you in our practice!
Please ask for the help of our colleagues, the experienced, well-prepared, caring, and always cheerful members of our team will gladly be available to you and your child with their full expertise, up-to-date knowledge, care, and full attention.
