In bone augmentation, our aim is to increase bone volume through an augmentation procedure. These bone grafting procedures are regenerative, promoting the formation of new bone. Different bone grafting goals require different techniques and different bone grafting materials.<\/p>\n

Why is bone grafting necessary?<\/h3>\n

Bone grafting is necessary if the dental implant needs to be placed in an area with insufficient or inadequate bone density.<\/p>\n

The process of bone grafting<\/h3>\n

There are human bone graft materials, there are animal-derived ones (xenografts), and the best are granules obtained and prepared from the patient's own bone during surgery. At our clinic, it is also common to use bone graft materials created from a mixture of these substances.<\/p>\n

All bone graft procedures are performed under local anaesthetic, meaning you will not feel any pain during the bone graft.<\/p>\n

To promote bone grafting in certain cases\u00a0We use different membranes, these can be resorbable collagen membranes, or non-resorbable membranes.<\/strong>, which fix the granular bone graft material onto the patient's bone throughout the entire bone grafting healing period.<\/p>\n

Steps of bone grafting briefly<\/h3>\n

  1. We anaesthetise the area<\/li>\n
  2. We incise the gum and expose the sinus membrane with an \u201ewindow\u201d technique on the bone<\/li>\n
  3. We are introducing bone graft material through the bone window.<\/li>\n
  4. We close the \u201ewindow\u201d with a membrane\u201d<\/li>\n
  5. Seal the incision with a suture.<\/li>\n
  6. In one week, there's a check-up and suture removal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Is bone grafting safe?<\/h2>\n

    Yes. Regardless of the type of bone substitute material for which its use is indicated, bone substitute materials available on the medical market are released in a completely sterile flora.<\/p>\n

    These are completely free of protein and pathogens. These materials are heat-treated at high temperatures, thus not only is the possibility of transmitting various diseases ruled out, but the development of any potential allergic reactions is also completely impossible.<\/p>\n

    Pain and swelling after bone grafting are natural phenomena; there is no need to be alarmed if a large bruise appears on the skin after the bone graft.<\/p>\n

    What are the complications of bone replacement? What are the complications of oral surgery?<\/h2>\n
